Owners & Operators

Richard Altman is a life-long resident of Glynn County.  Prior to entering real estate, his 30-year career was firmly established in commercial and retail areas, operating numerous stores carrying the name Altman’s.   Deciding a career change was due, Richard went back to the classroom, and after a few years of apprenticeship entered the world of real estate.  As a result,  Real Estate Professionals of Glynn, Inc. was established, where today, Altman and partner Gary Yawn operate this very active and successful company.

Gary Yawn was also born and raised in Glynn County.  Gary spent his youth and school years attending the public schools of Glynn County, then college and the military.   Shortly after, he went to Atlanta, where he established and operated a computer software company in metro Atlanta and in Europe,  Wanting to bring his two sons down to a quieter place to complete their high school years, Gary returned to Glynn County, much to the glee of his Mom and Dad.  In addition to operating his software company, Gary was looking for a new sales and marketing experience and also discovered real estate. 

After working together for several years, Gary and Richard formulated and succeeded in their plan to open Real Estate Professionals. The broad business experiences these men possess makes them highly qualified to assist buyers or sellers in the market.  As with any endeavor the services have grown as has the members of the team.  Richard has expanded into property management.  While Gary has become a successful builder and currently operates Saint Simons Builders.  Additionally, Michael Roberts has joined the team as an Associate Broker. He brings a wide range of business experiences specializing in investment and residential properties. Chuck Atkins long time resident of the Golden Isles round out the team as active Professional Realtors. Resulting in today's Real Estate Professionals offering a complete package of Real Estate Services for all your Real Estate needs.
